Less Mess, More Progress

As we are nearing the end of deconstruction and stepping into full reconstruction, there is less mess and fewer hazards in the rooms. However, we do ask that everyone refrain from entering the rooms. Some rooms are not as progressed as others and have exposed wires, uncovered light switches, tripping hazards, etc. Below are more pictures to appease your curiosity. 🙂 The rooms are really coming along nicely and shaping up into GPCs!

HOLDEN 033

  • Painting is complete
  • Lights are installed and zoned*
  • Ceiling grid is going up
  • Whiteboard has been installed

HOLDEN 038

  • Lights are being installed but not operational
  • Whiteboard has been installed

HOLDEN 104

  • Scaffolding is still in place for new lowered ceiling

HOLDEN 155

  • Painting is complete
  • Lights are installed and zoned*
  • Ceiling grid is almost complete
  • Brackets are in place for whiteboard to be installed

HOLDEN 225

  • Painting is complete
  • Lights are installed and zoned*
  • Some brackets are in place for whiteboard to be installed

*Zoned lighting provides the instructor with three options for illuminating the room:

  1. All lights on
  2. Lighting in the back of the room, but off in the front of the room. This is a great option when the projector is in use.
  3. Lighting in the front of the room, but off in the back of the room.

We have light!

Construction is still moving forward! There has been some great progress in the classrooms over the last week. Additional power ports for students have been placed along the walls and most of the painting is complete. Lights have even been installed in one room (155) and ready to go up in another (225)! I think we will notice the biggest change over the next week in room 104 as they have began installing the new lowered ceiling! Stay tuned for more updates!
