Over Spring Break, Classroom Technology Support (CTS) oversaw an upgrade to the technology installed in the Phase I GPCs. The upgrade will allow CTS to globally/remotely manage the technology. What does this mean to instructors and other end users? If you are experiencing a problem during instruction or an event, you can call CTS at 834-5252 and describe the issues you are experiencing. From their office, they are able to see information on the issues at hand. They can even lower the screen, turn the computer off, or shut the system off. If they are not able to resolve the issue remotely, then they will send one of the highly efficient technicians to the room for immediate assistance.
